Our Mission

Bridge for Africa is a federal 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and the dignity of work in rural Africa.

We partner with African artisan groups to design, create, and market unique handmade African items. The artisans are paid a living wage for their work, while additional proceeds and results from our fundraising efforts are reinvested in community development, training, and job creation in the region.

We currently work with over 1500 artisans who reside in rural areas of Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia. Our goal is to provide consistent work for these groups, thereby providing the dignity of work and advancing hope for future generations.
